Shannon studied developmental neurobiology at the University of Washington, before heading to Boston to change her focus to autoimmune disease.  In the Sharpe lab, she studied the role of CD48 in susceptibility to autoimmune disease.  Outside of work, Shannon enjoys ballroom dancing, sewing, and tech startups.

Shannon is now at Rubius Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA.
