Ryan was an MSci immunology student at the University of Glasgow during his time at the Sharpe lab. As an undergraduate he has worked in the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research, investigating novel therapeutic targets in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma in Dr Morton’s lab and the dichotomous role of γδ T cells in metastasis and the TME in Dr Coffelt’s lab. In the Sharpe lab, Ryan investigated the role of immune checkpoints in regulating T cell responses in the context of memory, exhaustion, autoimmunity and anti-tumor immunity. Outside of the lab he enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and exploring Boston.
