Naomi Goldman in a library

Naomi earned her PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in the laboratory of Dr. Golnaz Vahedi where she studied epigenetic and transcriptional regulation in T cell development and function. Her thesis work focused on identifying an intrinsically disordered domain of the transcription factor TCF-1 which was required for DNA binding and fidelity to the T cell linage. In the Sharpe lab she is interested in the role of co-inhibitory receptors in regulating the durability of T cell states in autoimmunity and cancer. Additionally, she hopes to assess the interplay between metabolism and epigenetics in modulating immune responses. Outside of the lab she enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and collecting new house plants.
