Zachary joined the Sharpe Lab in June of 2015. Previously, Zachary studied the fidelity mechanisms of DNA repair polymerases under the supervision of Dr. Benedetta Sampoli-Benitez at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. Zachary's interest in immunology was precipitated by his volunteer work at Mt. Sinai Hospital. In the Sharpe lab, Zachary is studying the impact that PD-1 signaling has on T cell metabolism. Outside of the lab, Zachary experiments with brewing coffee and culturing sourdough for bread-making. He also enjoys sketching in his free time.

Zachary is currenlty pursing an MD degree through Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA.
