Pakhi completed her Master's degree in Immunology at Harvard Medical School in May 2019. She is now working toward her PhD at Johns Hopkins. She grew up in India and moved to England where she completed her undergrad in biomedical sciences at Durham University and became interested in studying immunology. Pakhi is fascinated by how the immune system plays a role in almost all diseases in all parts of the body. In the Sharpe lab, she studied the role of TIGIT in anti-tumor immunity and autoimmune diseases.
