Osmaan Shahid
Computational biologist
Osmaan was an Associate Computational Biologist at both the Singer Lab at DFCI and the Sharpe Lab at HMS. He finished his BS and MS in Physics at Northeastern University while focusing his research on computational biophysics. In the lab of Paul Whitford, Osmaan worked on modeling the transition states of proteins like elongation factor G (EF-G) on the bacterial ribosome. He for the Singer & Sharpe labs he worked on analyzing immune responses to cancer as well as building computational pipelines to analyze single-cell RNA sequencing data.
