Katie attended the College of William and Mary before heading to graduate school at Loyola University of Chicago where she studied how the innate immune response to adenovirus (Ad) vaccine vectors influences the immunogenicity of Ad-based vaccines for Malaria. In Sharpe Lab, Katie interests included understanding how novel costimulatory molecules influence the early activation, priming, and function of both CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells in the context of cancer, infection, and autoimmunity. In her free time, Katie enjoyed going to sporting events and concerts, sailing on the Charles River, and eating local seafood.

Katie is back in Chicago working at AbbVie and cheering on her hometown Blackhawks.
