Graduate student
Jossef Osborn
Jossef grew up in South Dakota’s rolling plains, which he departed to attend Reed College. As an undergraduate, he developed an interest in immunology while studying enteropathogenic E. coli in the Mellies lab. Jossef then researched CD8+ T cell memory formation during acute viral infection at Oregon Health & Science University before he joined Harvard’s Immunology PhD program. His work in the Sharpe lab investigates T cell fate and function in the context of infection. Outside the lab, Jossef enjoys biking, rock climbing, experimenting in the kitchen, and learning about niche topics that have yet to help him win at bar trivia.
