James is a joint post-doctoral fellow in Drs. Arlene Sharpe and Marcia Haigis laboratories. He completed his BSc at McMaster University, and MSc and PhD at the University of Toronto. Under the supervision of Dr. Pamela Ohashi, his doctoral research focused on developing strategies to overcome T cell tolerance in the tumor microenvironment. James joined the Sharpe and Haigis labs to further understand how anti-tumor T cell immunity and metabolism changes with aging. Outside of the lab, James is a foodie and enjoys travelling.
