Jake graduated with a degree in biology from Stonehill College and has spent the past 3 years at MGH learning basic immunology research skills in the context of pulmonary inflammation. In the Sharpe lab, Jake studies the role of the microbiome in immune checkpoint blockade therapy. He also works alongside Matt and Marty to uncover important epigenetic regulators of CD8+ T cell fate during infection. In his free time, Jake hits dingers on the softball field and has a notoriously nasty bat flip.
