Ashlyn received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in cell and molecular biology through the Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) from the University of Alabama. While there, she studied the expression of dnmt genes and the role of sumoylation on MTF-1 in zebrafish. She is interested in genetics and immunology and currently works in the Sharpe-CHIME lab on antitumor immunity projects using the CHIME system. Outside of lab, Ashlyn enjoys reading, watching baseball – especially the Detroit Tigers – and college football (Roll Tide!), kickboxing, and hanging out with friends.
