Joon previously studied the non-canonical role of an epigenetic regulator in TCR-mediated T cell activation in Sasha Tarakhovsky's lab at the Rockefeller University. After finishing his Ph.D. with Sasha, he left New York City for starting a new journey with Sharpe lab in Boston. Currently, he tries to understand how host-symbiont coevolution regulates host immune response to tumor. In addition to science, Joon loves to play soccer and his electric guitar.
